Ridin the Wet Mountains

This morning Audra and I suited up and headed to the Wet Mountains, just West of Walsenburg, CO. We rode HWY 115 from the Springs to Florence and then headed up a canyon, over to Westcliffe. From Westcliffe we backtracked to McKensey Junction, heading East. After about 20 miles, we jumped off on a dirt road and road the pass over to Beulah. Leaving Beulah, we road to Wetmore, then to Pueblo and back home.

The ride was a blast, but I wouldn't recommend the Mexican Food in Westcliffe. The enchiladas could have been much better, but we were so hungry....it didn't matter at the moment.

A Pic of the Sangre de Cristos from Westcliffe.

These two pics were taken on the dirt road to Beulah.
